Digital City A city digital twin stands out as a critical technology for making cities smarter, more sustainable, and more livable

More Effective Urban Planning

Digital twins enable testing of planned infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, buildings) in a virtual environment. This allows the potential impacts to be analyzed in advance.

More Effective Traffic Planning

The urbanization process of new areas can be optimized using digital twins, taking factors like traffic density, green space needs, and population density into account.

Improved Traffic Management

Real-time data can be used to monitor traffic flow and identify problem areas. Hazardous zones can be identified, and preventative measures can be taken.

Transportation Management

Intelligent transportation solutions such as traffic light synchronization and optimization of public transportation routes can be implemented

Energy Management

The energy usage of buildings and infrastructure can be monitored to improve efficiency.Carbon emissions in the city can be modeled and strategies for reduction can be developed.

Energy Sustainability

The most suitable locations for solar panels or wind turbines can be determined through digital twins

Emergency Management

Scenarios for natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, or storms can be created. This helps in developing effective evacuation plans

Risk Management

The risk levels of infrastructure (bridges, dams) can be monitored, enabling preventive maintenance.Digital twins guide resource allocation for the fastest response during emergencies.

DIGITAL KONYA
TwinUp has created a comprehensive digital twin of the city of Konya for the Konya Metropolitan Municipality. Within the scope of this project, we have developed a highly detailed and dynamic digital representation of Konya that allows for real-time monitoring, analysis and management of urban infrastructure and resources. The digital twin provides valuable insights to support urban planning, increase operational efficiency and contribute to the sustainable development of the city.

DIGITAL TRAFFIC

Autonomous traffic management is a key component of the digital twin that allows urban planners to model, analyze, and optimize traffic flow across a city. Using real-time data, traffic patterns can be monitored and potential bottlenecks identified and mitigated. This helps inform decisions on road infrastructure improvements, traffic light coordination, and future urban mobility planning to reduce congestion and improve overall traffic efficiency.

DIGITAL RAIL SYSTEM

The digital rail system is an integral part of the urban digital twin, providing a real-time digital representation of the city’s rail infrastructure. This system ensures optimum performance and safety by enabling efficient monitoring, planning and maintenance of rail services. It also facilitates data-driven decision-making for future rail network expansions and supports the seamless integration of rail transport with other modes of urban mobility.
